For Parents & Guardians

What to expect.

How sessions work.

STEMGrow offers small-group instruction designed around how students actually learn. Sessions revolve around teaching, review, and project-building with learned concepts. Parents and guardians are kept informed about their student's progress and any concerns that arise, and are welcome to be present during sessions, especially for younger students.

Who's teaching.

STEMGrow is taught by high school students who have taught themselves to explore STEM beyond what is available in school. Our instructors are actively involved in areas such as programming, science fairs, robotics, engineering, CAD, and other STEM activities, and teach subjects in which they have demonstrated experience and understanding. Information about all of our instructors can be found on our website here.

Is my child ready for STEMGrow?

STEMGrow is designed for students of all ages and skill levels. While each course has a recommended age range, it is more important that students should have basic math and reading skills appropriate for that level. Still, if they do not, we can usually explain these concepts as we teach. Since many of our courses involve math, we are well prepared to teach the necessary concepts. If you have specific concerns, feel free to contact us. Ultimately, we believe any child can succeed in our programs with the right support.
